Refund Policy
Template. Modeled on our operating policies; bracketed values need a final decision and counsel review before launch. Last updated: 25 Aug 2026 · draft, not yet in effect. This policy is part of the Terms of Service.
1. The short version
- Per-second services (VPS, GPU, compute): you are only ever billed for seconds used — stop the server and billing stops. There is nothing to refund by design.
- Web hosting: 14-day money-back guarantee on your first hosting purchase.
- Domains and licensed add-ons: non-refundable once submitted or issued.
2. Web hosting money-back guarantee
If hosting isn’t right for you, tell us within 14 days of your first hosting purchase and we refund the plan fee in full. The guarantee applies once per customer, to first-time signups only, and to the hosting plan fee alone — not to domains or add-ons bought alongside it. Renewals are not covered, but you can cancel before any renewal and never be charged for it.
3. Per-second services
VPS, GPU and compute instances bill per second against the stated cap. Stopping or terminating a service ends its billing at that moment; time you did not use is simply never charged, so no refund process applies. Amounts already billed for time the service ran are not refunded.
4. Non-refundable items
- Domain registrations, renewals, and transfers, once submitted to the registry
- Third-party licenses and add-ons (for example Windows Server licenses, control panel licenses, SSL certificates), once issued
- Setup or one-time fees where stated at purchase
- Services suspended or terminated for an AUP violation
5. Account credit and top-ups
Credit top-ups are not refundable to the original payment method, but cash credit never expires and applies automatically to future charges. Promotional credit follows its own stated expiry. On account closure, remaining cash credit above [$10] is refunded to your original payment method on request, minus processor fees.
6. SLA credits
Downtime below our uptime commitment is compensated in account credit under the SLA — that process is separate from this policy and never expires with a first-purchase window.
7. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within [7] business days of approval. Where the payment method cannot accept a refund (some crypto payments), we issue account credit instead. Refunds are made in the currency and amount originally charged; exchange-rate differences and processor fees are not grossed up.
8. Chargebacks
Open a ticket before disputing a charge with your bank — almost every billing problem is fixed faster that way. A chargeback filed while a service is active may suspend the account until the dispute resolves; charges reversed for services you genuinely used may be re-invoiced.
9. Your statutory rights
Nothing here limits refund or withdrawal rights that consumer law in your country grants and does not allow to be waived.
10. Requesting a refund
Open a support ticket from the account that made the purchase, naming the service and order. Refund decisions under this policy are confirmed in writing on the ticket.
