Acceptable Use Policy

Template. Have counsel review before launch. Last updated: 25 Aug 2026 · draft, not yet in effect. This policy is part of the Terms of Service.

1. Scope

This policy applies to everything run on or through HostingPanel services — your sites, servers, GPU workloads, domains and email — whether by you, your team members, or your own customers. You are responsible for what your users do on your services.

2. Illegal content and activity

Nothing unlawful in [Jurisdiction] or in the place you operate from: no content you have no rights to distribute, no fraud, no sale of illegal goods, no facilitation of crime.

Zero tolerance: child sexual abuse material results in immediate termination without refund and a report to the relevant authorities. No warning step applies.

3. Malicious activity

  • No phishing pages, credential harvesting, or brand impersonation.
  • No malware hosting, command-and-control, or botnet infrastructure.
  • No attacks on third parties: DDoS, unauthorised scanning or exploitation, brute-forcing. Security research is welcome only against systems you own or are authorised to test.

4. Email and messaging

  • No unsolicited bulk email. Recipients must have opted in, and unsubscribe must work.
  • No forged headers or sender identities.
  • No open relays, open resolvers, or open proxies left exposed to the internet.

5. Resource use

On VPS and GPU instances, the allocation is yours — sustained full use is what you paid for. On shared web hosting, use must stay fair to neighbours: sustained saturation of shared CPU, IO or mail queues may be throttled, and cryptocurrency mining on shared hosting is not permitted.

6. Network integrity

No IP spoofing, no announcing address space you are not assigned, no interference with other customers’ services or with our management plane.

7. GPU and compute workloads

Train and serve what you have the rights to. Workloads that attack third parties (password cracking of others’ credentials, adversarial abuse of external services) are treated as malicious activity under section 3.

8. Enforcement

Our default ladder is: notice with time to fix, then suspension, then termination — matching the suspension flow described in the panel, so you always see the state and the reason on the service itself. We skip straight to suspension or termination when the violation is severe, ongoing, or endangers others (sections 2–3 in particular). Fees for the affected period are not refunded on termination for cause.

9. Reporting

Seen something on our network that breaks this policy? Report abuse — reports are triaged within one business day.
